Air Conditioning A Trane 1000 ton chiller was tested with TDR and it was determined that the reactive faults were elevated. The motor was taken out and steam cleaned, baked, dipped in hermetic varnish, rebaked and reinstalled. The motor was retested and the reactive voltages and currents had dropped significantly. The charts below show the drop in both the voltages and currents.
